Local Long-Term Care Ombudsman
Location: Waynesboro

Hours per Week: 30 hours
Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $18.00/hr

Responsibilities: Identify, investigate, and resolve complaints and requests for assistance made by or on behalf of Long-Term Care residents in PD 6; make non-complaint-related visits to all Long-Term Care facilities in PD 6; inform Long-Term Care residents about means of obtaining services provided by providers or agencies; maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation on all case investigations and other program activities; and work under the direction of, and in coordination with, the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman.

Qualifications: At least one year working with older adults in human services required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field required. Knowledge of community services and resources. Strong organizational, problem solving, computer, written, and verbal skills required. Ability to work independently. Must have a current Virginia driver's license, and a reliable, well-insured vehicle.
